To start, the entire staff of Talon Tales would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, and of course a Happy New Year a week from now! Unlike last year, this year things have been much more smooth.

Now, on to the updates you’ve all been waiting for!

Given that, especially under the hood, quite a lot has changed in the event code, we’d appreciate a heads-up if anything goes wrong, thanks!

Santa’s Updates

This year’s event introduces a variety of new updates and tweaks:

• All the good old activities are returning~
• Amid the holiday crowds, Santa needs help keeping things running smoothly in the Enchanted Village. A worried parent’s plea soon turns your goodwill into a search for a missing child. Enjoy this brand new quest with some wonderful rewards at the end.
• Error returns once again. Can you find him?!
• Added 30+ new Achievements and Titles to obtain throughout the event.
• New minigame – Snowman Dress-up:
  • Snowlivia’s looking to spice up the Seasonal Celebration with her cool, cute, and classy collections, but a snowstorm’s sent everything scattered in the snowfields!
  • Channel your inner fashionista, test your teamwork, and get richly rewarded in this new minigame!
• New activity – Snowball Fight:
  • A bunch of rowdy kids are looking for a (snowball) fight! Battle one of them every 20 minutes, up to 5 times per day and get a chance to win some goodies! Talk to Timmy on the west side of the village to show them why their parents never loved them.
• New activity – Gingerbread Competition:
  • A renowned Gingerbread Architect, Pierre, is joining a Gingerbread House Competition! The judges are very picky and won’t tell you exactly what they like. Listen closely to what the competitors are doing, pray to RNGesus and see if you can score some prizes!
• New (returning) minigame – Bomberman:
  • Returning after many years, a purely for-fun (no rewards) version of the classic game. Speak to Miss Bombring to give it a try!
• New costume added to Gemma’s costume quest.
• Doom Troops now have a daily quest to find a bunch of cooking ingredients for special winter meals.
• The monsters in both the Easy and Intermediate Old Toy Factory maps have received a much-needed update. They are now tougher than they were last years, but have also received a boost in droprates. Furthermore, you can now earn more Green Giftbox Pieces in the Intermediate map as well.
• In the Snowman Building minigame, it is no longer possible to pick up more than one of each item type at a time.
• Lowered the chances of “junk” items from Giftboxes and added a substantial amount of new rewards.
• Waiting Rooms no longer check for dual clienting through IP address but through Master Account and Hardware ID. This way it should be more easy for family members to play together.
• Lowered price of writing a letter with Lizzie from 50k to 25k.
• Snowflake Coins can now be sold to NPCs for 4k zeny.

The event will stay online until Saturday, January 10th.

Xmas Instance Updates

• Overall remained mostly the same compared to last event.
• Added the updated Instance Ruleset from last Halloween Event.
• Slightly increased time for Antonio/Adriano to heal when back at their desk.
• Slightly lowered the chances of Bruhdolphs spawning instead of Grunts during the Desk phase.
• Lowered Grunts spawn by 20% in the Antonio fight.

Limited Edition Costume

For a duration of one week, you can now purchase these [Visual] Winter Night Bells Costume and [Visual] Lutie Night Sky Costume at the Talon Shop for 5500 Talon Cash! They go in your Garment slot.
