Welcome to May, everyone! This month’s maintenance focuses heavily on Battlegrounds quality-of-life improvements, gameplay fixes, and a batch of official rAthena updates. Alongside the system and balance changes, we’ve also refreshed the Monthly Box and limited-time costume offerings for May, plus the usual monthly rotations and activities. As always, more on the way!

Naturally, the Easter Event has also ended. We hope you enjoyed the extra time it stayed up way past its original closure time~

Considering a fair amount of these updates resulted in significant code changes, some bugs might have snuck in. Please let us know if anything feels off!

Limited Edition Costume

For a duration of one week, you can now purchase these [Visual] Solid State Recognition Costume and [Visual] Cinnamoroll Costume [L] at the Talon Shop for 6000 Talon Cash! They go in your Lower slot. The Cinnamoroll costume can be changed into Middle or Lower through the Costume Swap Fairy.

Disclaimer: even though it’s sold for a limited time, it may or may not return in the future to cater towards players from different timezones. Additionally, keep in mind that these visual effects only show up when effects in-game are enabled.

Battlegrounds Updates

• Repairs are now done automatically upon respawn, and are free to everyone, not just Bonus Bundle users.
• Added Plagiarism NPC as well as Auto Plagiarize.
  • You can only copy the last-copied skill from a regular Plagiarism NPC.
  • It’s free to use the NPC in BG, but you do still need Bonus Bundle to utilize it.
  • Every Plagiarism NPC is placed near the Healer NPC in the Respawn Rooms.
  • Added a BG Settings menu within the Battle Recruiter which allows you to enable/disable Auto Plagiarize. Enabling it ensures that you automatically copy the last-copied Plagiarism NPC skill when respawning.
• Supply Boosts were removed in our previous patch. We have now boosted the general supplies by 30~50% depending on the item. In addition, every player gets 2 Speed Potions and 1 Box of Sunlight.
• BG Red Potions now have a flat healing rate that mimics a Ranked Condensed White Potion. Most classes get 250 of them at match start, with certain tanking classes get more.
• Introducing a BG Yggdrasil Seed which heal 10~15% HP (as opposed to 5~8% for the old BG Red Potions) but are given in smaller quantities. Currently most classes get 20 of them at match start, with certain tanking classes getting slightly more.
• BG Healer NPCs now give you a countdown for when the respawn happens. Doing this had us refactor a bunch of the code, so please let us know if something’s feeling off.

General Updates

• GM Challenge now only uses Master Account/Hardware cooldowns. This means no more IP check and no more 48-hour cooldown per game account.
• One-Hand Quicken no longer removes ASPD Potions (Concentration, Awakening, Berserk).
• Fixed Baphomet Card Effect not working with Chain Action.
• Fixed Shield Combos such as Orleans Server from dispelling Shield Buffs such as Auto Guard when swapped.
• Fixed several Pet scripts/descriptions:
  • Fixed Icehorn, Ice Seahorse, Chao, Doughkun not applying magical damage.
  • Fixed Tiyanak giving 1% instead of intended 2% Shadow Property resistance.
  • Fixed Garden Keeper giving 1% instead of intended 2% Holy Property resistance.
  • Fixed Child Admin Beta applying healing bonus on skills you use rather than used on you.
  • Fixed Time Holder not giving Blessing/Increase Agi duration bonus.
  • Fixed descriptions of several other eggs.
• Filir’s Moonlight can now hit targets from all distances including ranged.
• Fixed droprate of Aegir Shoes on Giant Octopus.

rAthena Updates

Merged several official updates:

• Updated skill ranges of several NPC skills to their official values.
• Implemented the official skill selection mechanic where when a mob picks a skill but can’t cast it due to range, it will not check for any skills below.
• Added missing skill fail messages for both homunculus and mercenary skills.
• Added missing cooldown timer displays for both homunculus and mercenary skills.
• Fixed homunculus skills cooldown and delay times. On top of that, delays have now been changed into cooldowns. While this is a Renewal update, it’s mostly a fix to address potential delay cheats.
