The long-awaited Gunslinger update is here! After months of anticipation, all the changes we teased are now live. Skills have been overhauled, items have improved, and new mechanics like Bullet Factory and improved skills and items make combat faster, smoother, and just plain better.
But that’s not all! Battle of the Nine enthusiasts will see gear buffs, updated enchants, and more ways to optimize their builds, while Battlegrounds gets new costumes, recolors, and item swap options.
Read all the details below. It’s… a lot. So read carefully!
Also, as this is a massive update, there are bound to be some bugs that may have snuck in despite our endless debugging. Please report them as soon as possible. Thank you!
Valkyrie Gears Updates
After the initial release, our community let us know, for good reason, that a lot of these newly released gears just weren’t good enough. And so we went back to the drawing board, collected your feedback and revised most of them! Check out all the changes below or for an easier viewing experience, this Google Sheet.
Bugfixes:
Fixed Valk Armor Sets combo bonus not applying the 5% magical damage to BotN Valkyries.
Fixed the “Ignore x% of Melee/Magic Reflect” bonuses. They previously did not work at all.
Fortune enchants now also enable Crit Damage on skills, rather than just regular attacks.
Valkyrie Gears:
Geiravor’s Will:
ATK increased from 50 to 90.
Added +10% MATK.
10% more physical and magical damage against Valkyrie Geiravor updated to 15% more damage to All BotN Valkyries.
Added 10% resistance against Holy and Shadow Property attacks.
Added +50 ATK when endowed with Holy or Shadow property.
Herja’s Fury:
Added 10% reduction of Melee Reflect.
Added 10% DEF pierce of Angel and Demon race monsters.
Kara’s Blessing:
Added 10% reduction of Magic Reflect.
Added immunity to Sleep status.
Hildr’s Veil:
Added MaxHP + 4%.
Reginleif’s Brand:
Added MDEF + 4.
Added 10% Holy/Shadow elemental resistance ignore with Fire/Water/Wind/Earth Magic.
Prima’s Vanity:
Added Fast Movement all the time.
Added 20% Holy/Shadow elemental resistance ignore with Fire/Water/Wind/Earth Magic.
Sigrun’s Journey:
Added Fast Movement all the time.
Added 20% reduction of Magic Reflect.
Tears Enchants:
First off, all Tears on the server have had their enchants updated in accordance with the updates below.
New and improved enchants:
Fire, Water and Wind MATK% increased from 1%, 3% and 5% to 3%, 5% and 8%.
Earth MATK% increased from 1%, 3% and 5% to 6%, 9% and 12%.
ASPD increased from 1%, 2% and 3% to 2%, 3% and 4%.
You can now choose to purchase a truly random 1st enchant (25 Valkyrie Coins, down from 30) or you can choose a category (50 Valkyrie Coins) for better chances of something you truly want.
Misc:
Removed all trading restrictions on all Valkyrie Tokens.
Herja’s Fury and Kara’s Blessing now require 375 Valkyrie Coins instead of 325.
Hildr’s Veil and Reginleif’s Brand now require 300 Valkyrie Coins instead of 250.
Prima’s Vanity and Sigrun’s Journey now require 275 Valkyrie Coins instead of 200.
Battlegrounds Updates
Added new recolors for Kitsune Mask Costume:
Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, White
Added new costumes to be purchased through Glory Coins:

Added recolors for Old Valkyrie Helm (the SQI) through Trader Xeno:
These are NOT costumes. They actually give you a recolored version of the SQI itself.
As you might recall, we announced a Gunslinger Update earlier than intended in order to get some much needed beta testers and give the contents more time to be developed.
As you can probably imagine, this was not only a learning process for us since it was the first time we brought on beta testers to work on content together, but also this update was a massive undertaking as we’re dealing with arguably the most complicated class in the game (many builds, 5 gun types) on top of Gunslinger having a runaway DPS lead. We had to spend a lot of time in order to assure going forward that the balance is just right when placed against other classes such as Sniper, while also assuring Gunslinger’s early and mid-games are much better than before due to reworked skill and weapon designs. As mentioned in the prior announcement, several changes have been made since the initial announcement!
We’re happy to announce we’ve finally finished the update’s contents and we’re finally at the end of the road. In this update you can expect a variety of item tweaks, a variety of skill tweaks (including Gunslinger’s own version of Arrow Crafting!), a variety of tweaks to the Scouter SQI, major improvements to the Sphere Crafting NPC and the Magazine/Sphere Pack NPCs, several changes to Juno Vulkan’s Crafting Quests, several game mechanic tweaks by association (most notably a reversal of the current Ring of Nibelungen and Drum on the Battlefield nerf in place of a new limitation), and finally, two Gunslinger exclusive reset/unslot events that will run all the way until end of April. The first being for Scouter SQI Resets, and the second being a few free gun card unslots, both for a limited time (so make sure you tap into it while it’s there!).

General
Gunslingers logging in for the first time after this patch;
Skills are automatically reset.
Body Builder Builds prior to this patch can still be viewed but can no longer be loaded.
Added an Event SQI Extractor (prontera 162,193), that will unslot and refund bonuses for each Gunslinger once.
Due to Mob Scarf [1]changing from Mid/Lower to Lower and losing its slot with this update, any cards inside existing Mob Scarves will be returned to the user’s Inventory (if equipped on a character) or returned to whatever storage the Mob Scarf was inside of.
Game Mechanics
It is no longer possible to swap Bullets into a Grenade Launcher.
[Drum on the Battlefield] and [Ring of Nibelungen] no longer stack.
Removed the current custom ranged weapon nerf imposed on [Drum on the Battlefield]and[Ring of Nibelungen].
Instead, reduce the effect of Defense Reduction coming from Item Scripts and Chain Action Critical Hits by 25% for all classes as a tradeoff for the extra damage. Defense Ignore through Total DEF Ignore (such as Executioner and Dragon Slayer), Skills (such as Piercing Shot and Acid Terror), and Critical Hits (outside of Chain Action) are exempt from this penalty!
Bullet Factory [New Item Skill]
If a Gunslinger equips Any Gun Weapon, this skill appears as a skill in the user’s Etc Tab. It is classified as an Item Skill, just like [Throw Tomahawk].
Has the same behavior as Archer’s[Arrow Crafting], except it produces bullets instead of arrows. The exchange rates and possible items are as follows;
Ancient Tooth; 20 Bloody Shells, 300 Water Bullets
Reduced Base Cast Time from 2 Seconds to 1 Second.
Now has a 30 Second Lasting Duration at all levels.
ASPD is no longer a factor when using this skill. However, placing a Ground Drift mine under an entity will result in a Ground Drift Cooldown equal to the user’s ASPD.
Note: This means the skill can be used right again immediately after casting the previous as if you had 190 ASPD.
Placing a Ground Drift mine under an entity will now inflict 3 hits instead of 1. Unlike most other skills, these hits are processed individually just like Knight’s Bowling Bash. Meaning autobonus effects among other effects on skill/long range triggers will be processed 3 times.
Flip the Coin
Can now be used during auto attacks without interrupting.
Now enables Critical Hits with Chain Action at the cost of Critical Attack damage during [Chain Action] being reduced by [75 – Skill Level / 5]%.
Bullet Shower
Now consumes 30 SP at all levels.
Now applies the [Quagmire] Slowdown Debuff for 1 Second on the target the same way that Assassin’s [Grimtooth] does.
Note: This does not reduce enemy AGI or DEX.
Aftercast Delay is now a Cooldown that is influenced by Aftercast Delay modifiers.
Note: This means that you can use other skills right away after using it, and anything existing that will reduce this skill’s delay (such as Bragi) still work to make it faster.
Desperado
Now always inflicts the first hit at absolute minimum regardless of cell position in the AoE.
Note: This means it’s no longer possible to get 0 hits.
Reduced Aftercast Delay and Walk Delay from 1 Second to 0.75 Seconds.
Dust
No longer has a Cast Time.
Reduced Skill Mod from 100 + 50 * Skill Level% to 100 + 20 * Skill Level%.
Note: Max is now 300% as opposed to 600%.
Increased Knockback Distance from 5 Cells to 7 Cells.
Aftercast Delay is now a Cooldown that is influenced by Aftercast Delay modifiers.
Note: This means that you can use other skills right away after using it, and anything existing that will reduce this skill’s delay (such as Bragi) still work to make it faster.
Spread Attack
Removed previous custom nerf imposed on this skill.
Note: No longer has a delay after using the skill.
Skill Range is no longer improved by Snake Eyes.
Reduced Bullet Cost from 5 to 2.
Increased Skill Mod from 80 + 20 * Skill Level% to 100 + 25 * Skill Level%.
Note: Max is now 350% as opposed to 280%.
Reduced SP Cost from 10 + 5 * Skill Level to 10 + 2 * Skill Level.
Note: Max SP Cost is now 30 compared to 60 from before.
Full Buster
Now inflicts DEF Ignore depending on how close the user is to the target as follows;
Target is <= 1 Cell Away; +30%
Target is 2 Cells Away; +20%
Target is 3 Cells Away; +10%
DEF Ignore mechanic will not take effect if the user’s DEF Ignore amount is higher than [Full Buster]’s amount.
Note: If 1 Cell away for 30%, and the player has 40% from 2 Thanatos Cards, the 2 Thanatos Cards take priority. If only 20% from Thanatos Card, 30% takes priority.
Tracking
Skill Range is now improved by Snake Eyes.
Now has the ability to inflict a Critical Hit. The amount of Critical Hit depends on the distance between the user and the targetand does not consider the player’s current CRIT amount, where every Cell 5 or greater adds CRIT + 10 (up to +100 Max).
Reduced Cast Time from 1 + 0.2 * Skill Level Seconds to 1.5 Seconds at all levels.
Bragi, Suffragium, and similar Cast Reduction Status now influence this skill’s Cast Time, but DEX still has no effect.
Can no longer be used by Revolver Weapons.
Reduced Skill Mod from (200 + 100 x Skill Level)% to (300 + 70 xSkill Level)%.
Note: 1,000% max is now possible.
Now has a 1 Second Cooldown (can’t be reduced by Aftercast Delay).
Now has a 0.24 Second Delay for stability reasons.
Note: This shouldn’t be noticeable in normal gameplay.
Bull’s Eye
Skill Range is now improved by Snake Eyes.
When used with a Rifle Weapon, increase Coma chance from 0.1% to 5%. Has no effect in PvP.
Disarm
Now displays the /omg emotion above the target’s head when the strip chance is successful.
Snake Eyes
No longer improves Ground Drift or Spread Attack Skill Range.
Now properly caps at 25 unique traps at a time like it’s supposed to, and will now cycle like Ground Drift does when those caps have been hit.With the exception of Ankle Snare.
Monk Related
Call Spirits & Hyper Spirit Sphere
Can now be used during auto attacks without interrupting.
