Happy 2023 everyone! We hope you all had amazing holidays and that you’ll have a great 2023.

We’re starting off the month with our late Christmas event. A lot of things happened IRL for a bunch of our development staff, which is the main reason the event could not happen in time. We had a lot to catch up on, and hopefully resolved everything for real now. It’s like they say “New Year New Me”. The same goes for Talon Tales. It’s a New Year and we’re starting with a fresh mind, good spirits and new ideas on how to improve the server. Now that the holiday season is behind us, we can finally focus on everything we’ve been wanting to implement. Definitely look forward to that!

Regular Updates

• Removed some event monsters from Taekwon Mission list. If you find any other invalid entries, please let us know.
• Updated the entrance method of Ancient Tower and Mystic Tower to be more streamlined.
• Fixed Instance Girl incorrectly displaying remaining Mystic Tower entries.
• Mystic Tower balance updates:
  • Balanced mob spawns on several non-boss stages
  • Increased wait time before initial monster spawns on stage 21
  • Replaced stage 26 random spawn sequence with a deterministic offset based on identifiers from 4 prior stages
  • Replaced stage 27, 28 spawn sequences and positions with more decipherable identifiers from prior stages
  • Reduced total Valkyrie Prima forms from 3 forms to 2 forms on stage 30
  • Increased cast time of the Assumptio skill on [all Valkyries and Dark Randgris]
  • Element adjustments on [Loki and (non-MVP) Dark Randgris]
  • Minor adjustments to stats and skills on [Valkyrie Hildr, Loki, Shroud Beta, Evil Shadow]

Christmas Event

A little late, but better late than never!

Our Christmas Event is now live. You can once again visit the Enchanted Village by talking to the warper in Prontera. Our event this year is mostly the same as the last year, but we’ve made some improvements across the board.

• The Silver Woods have been replaced by deeper levels of the Toy Factory, courtesy of GM Blackstar!
• Reshuffled the Time Trial NPCs.
• Added a new costume reward to the main quest.
• Added various coordinate changes and task changes for the Instance.
• New costumes added to Christmas Stockings rewards.
• Added new costume drops to several mobs and MVPs.
• Increased the amount of Giftbox Pieces earned through various minigames.
• Time Trial minigame now gives Red Giftbox Pieces instead of Green.
• Added NPCs (Laura and David) in the Enchanted Village to exchange Giftbox Pieces from Red to Green and vice versa, at a 3:1 rate.
• There can now be up to 3 winners for Snowman Building, but actually finishing a Snowman now takes more work.
• Added new Protection Cloth Costume colors to the Enchantress NPC.
• Added new costume to Gemma’s Quest.

The event will last until January 14th, evening time.
