Hero’s Trail Part I – Sara’s Memory

Now that Kvasir has opened up the Dimensional Gap to the adventurers, more folks from Rune Midgard and beyond are venturing into the gap. You will slowly discover more people in this strange area as well as new time travel locations to travel to!

To start off, we’d like to introduce Sara’s Memory. This short instance tells you the tragic history of one of the 12 Valkyries: Sara Irene. Simply head into the Dimensional Gap and talk to Adventurer Leon to get started! You can find more Dimensional Devices around the world to warp into the Dimensional Gap.

As usual, this is an instance originally designed for Renewal content, and as such we have modified it to suit our server. A few noteworthy mentions:

• You can play the instance in two modes: Regular and Vanilla. The former mode can be played with a party of, at most, 3 players. The latter can be played by up to 5 players in one party. On top of that, the Vanilla mode has roughly 25% higher droprates.
• Added a Leaderboard (with new sprite!) for this instance. We have also replaced the Old Glast Heim leaderboard sprite by this one.
• The instance can be played up to 5 times per week per player. This limit resets midnight at the start of a new week, similar to other instances.
• Customized the monster stats and skillsets. Originally the monsters don’t really have any skills, but that’s changed. Expect them to be somewhat below Thor’s Volcano / Abbey in terms of difficulty.
• Customized the drops as well as drop rates. The monsters in this instance normally drop almost purely stat foods, at quite a high rate. As that would disrupt a lot on the server, these drops have been somewhat changed. The monsters still drop stat foods, but they now also drop ingredients for higher-grade stat foods that are normally hard to find.
• Added two new weapons and two new cards. These are all non-Vanilla items and cannot be purchased from the Talon Shop.
