Summer’s winding down, and so is the Amazing Summer Race. There’s still a bit of time left to squeeze in those last few runs, cash in your badges, and pick up anything you’ve had your eye on before Captain TamTam packs up and sails off for another year, so don’t leave it too late.

Meanwhile, the team has already started digging the cobwebs out of storage. Work on this year’s Halloween event is underway! As well as general content updates that you’ve all been waiting for, of course.

This month’s first patch is a smaller one due to team vacations so you’ll find the usual monthly rotations alongside a handful of QoL improvements. Nothing dramatic this time around, but plenty of small things that should make day-to-day life a little smoother.

General Updates

• Added an extra weight check when opening item boxes. Previously the server would not allow you to open a box if you were 90% overweight or didn’t have any inventory slots free. In addition to that, we now check whether you have at least 400 weight remaining, which should catch some edge cases such as the 300 Strawberries from Basic Summertime Boxes. We did also reduce the 300 Strawberries to 200, otherwise we’d need to have a 600 available weight check, which will inconvenience low-weight characters too much.
• Added some more Eden Badge/Bronze Coin limit messages where applicable.
• The Gramps rotation announcement on Discord #server-messages now mentions the monster names in addition to the map names.
• Added a GMC announcement on the #server-messages Discord mirror.
• Treasure Porings will no longer despawn when they detect players nearby. When it does despawn, it will now announce it map-wide.
• Late summer addition (there’s always next year~), but you can now tip warpers who warped players back to town from the summer race map.
• Added Lower versions of Eleanor Wig and Eleanor Wig Yellow and added an Upper version of Eleanor Wig Black, normalizing these costume locations properly. As usual these can be changed through the Costume Swap Fairy NPC.
