We’re tossing in a quick patch prior to our March monthly maintenance. This introduces a brand new Talontine’s Season event, with familiar quests and a fun instance to enjoy. Read below for more information on that! Apart from that, we’ve fixed a variety of bugs, made some improvements and most importantly, merged a large variety of rAthena updates.

Patch Notes

• Once again merged a large variety of rAthena updates. These change a lot of the internal server code, so please let us know if anything started behaving differently. Some highlights that may or may not affect you:
  • Implemented Instance Destroy button, which can be seen in your regular instance window when you are not inside the instance map. This works on most instances, apart from a few selected ones where it’s disabled.
  • Added cutins to Friendship Quest.
  • Mob slaves can now wander off further from their master.
• Added new Bonus Bundle command !telereminder, which leaves a marker on your minimap that shows your last teleport location.
• Improved BG team sorting upon starting a new match. It should now more accurately take job class (in particular Bard/Dancer) into account when sorting. This does not yet address balance when new players join an existing match.
• Fixed the warp to dic_dun03 not working for account-bound quest completions.
• Breaking seals in the Sign Quest can now be done by any level 4 weapon at equal chances.
• Increased the droprates on Biolabs 4 instance MVPs.
• Increased the droprates on Elysian Garden and Sanctuary.
• Fixed Valorous Assassin Damascus not getting the Ice Pick effect per refine.
• Fixed a bug in Eden Group’s Weapons Expert BK NPC where the wrong race was mentioned.

Limited Edition Costume

For a duration of one week, you can now purchase this [Visual] Poring Syringe Costume at the Talon Shop for 7000 Talon Cash! It goes in your Garment slot.

Disclaimer: even though it’s sold for a limited time, it may or may not return in the future to cater towards players from different timezones. Additionally, keep in mind that these visual effects only show up when effects in-game are enabled.

Talontine’s Season Event

Valentine’s Season may be well past but the festivities of love are just beginning on Talon Tales! Talontine’s Season is now active and will run until March 11th.

Head on over to Jawaii’s Heart Island to check out the quests and new instance! You may also speak with the Talontine Warper in Prontera to be directly warped.

In this year’s Talontine’s Season, Estellise makes her return with the opportunity of a partner ring exchange (with familiar rewards, to those who have already played it), amongst other quest rewards. Poringa also needs your help again!

On Heart Island, you will also find the Misses LoveDuos, ambassadors for the brand new LoveDuo Showdown instance, a 2 versus 2 match where pairs work together to earn points over their competition. The LoveDuo Showdown rewards points earned in the form of Showdown Tokens which can be exchanged for various prizes from the Showdown Token Exchange on Heart Island.

LoveDuo Champions

As part of Talontine’s Season, a list of the highest scoring couples in the LoveDuo Showdown will be recorded until the end of the event. You may check the ranking board on Heart Island at any time to view the top ten couples.

Details

The final champions will be decided via a GM-hosted bracket style tournament where top couples will play against each other in best-of-three matches.

At the end of the general Talontine’s Season event, characters on the Top 10 ranking board will receive an in-game mail with an invitation to enter the tournament.

Randomized bracket placement and scheduling of matches will be coordinated amongst the couples who choose to enter the tournament. The resulting Gold, Silver, and Bronze place winners of the tournament will receive their choice of prize.

Prizes

The top 3 highest scoring couples from the tournament will be rewarded with their choice of one of the following costumes:

• Blue Cupid Wings Costume [21964]
• Love Feeling Costume [20985]
• Love Cheek Costume [20452]
• Angel Ribbon Wing Costume [21541] 

Rules:

An individual player cannot win more than one prize.

Dual-clienting of any sort is not permitted in the LoveDuo Showdown.

GMs have the right to pass over a couple if they are suspected of cheating.
