Autumn has arrived, and with it a fresh round of updates! Alongside the usual monthly updates, Snipers have a new quest skill to discover and Anne the Stylist has picked up some new hairstyles. Priests will be happy to hear that Warp Portal can now remember more /memo locations. Battlegrounds received several updates as well, including a new costume in the shop.

We’ve also been busy updating our client itself. It fixes several crashes and brings a number of long-awaited improvements.

Client Updates

NOTE: we have temporarily rolled back the client to a previous version as the new one was causing Gepard errors. This means that the updates below are currently not live, including the Falconer NPC.

We’ve addressed several issues in our current client:

• Garments and robes: your head and hair no longer draw on top of your garment sprite when your character faces away from the camera. This is adjustable per-sprite, so please let us know if any were forgotten.
• Skymaps: we now have the option to add skymaps at will, rather than them being hard-coded into the client. Maps that were missing their skymaps now have one. This particularly affects some AT and MT maps.
• NPC menus: option lists now grow to fit the choices, from 4 up to 8 rows, so there’s less scrolling on longer menus.
• Battlegrounds: the “Return to Save Point” window no longer appears when you die in battlegrounds, since you respawn in your base automatically. This should avoid accidental clicks and potential crashes.
• Crash fix: using /doridori, /bingbing or /bangbang while teleporting or changing maps no longer crashes the client.
• Crash fix: opening card art for an item that has none (for example Bear’s Power) no longer crashes the client; the window just doesn’t open.
• Crash fix: creating or dragging out small party member windows no longer crashes the client in rare situations.

Battlegrounds Updates

• Removed the forced team palettes in Battlegrounds after player requests.
• Changed the Basilica cells in Rush castles into a new “Safe Zone” cell which prevents you from hurting your opponent in the Return Room but still allows you to buff yourself/others.
• Added Plagiarism NPC to Regicide and Bounty Hunt.
• Wanted/Warlord marker on the minimap now gets updated every 2 seconds instead of every 5 seconds.
• Wanted/Warlord players now cannot Hide, Cloak or Chase Walk and cannot use fast movement skills such as Backsliding, Body Relocation, High Jump, Shadow Jump and Run.
• Increased weekly cap of Valor Coins from 4000 to 5000.
• Added a new costume to the Battlegrounds store: Helm of Pride Costume. The default comes in blue and you can recolor it into a variety of other colors through a BG Recoloring Coupon.
• All costumes obtainable through BG can now be stored in Master Storage. More items for this option coming up.
• Slightly lowered the AFK timers.

Misc Updates

• Increased /memo savepoints:
  • Updated the /memo (and @memo) commands to support 2x Skill Level warp locations. This means that at Level 4 you can now save up to 8 spots (plus your savepoint).
• New skill: Falcon Call:
  • Learned from the Falconer NPC at the Icarus Archer Guild in Payon Archer Village. The quest costs 50 Feather of Birds, 20 Soft Feather, 10 Harpy Feather, 20 Talon, 3 Rough Wind and 500,000z.
  • It summons your falcon if you don’t have one out, then opens a menu to pick which bird follows you: Sniper falcon, Hunter falcon, Ranger owl or one of two Windhawk hawks. This not only offers new gameplay options by letting you release and re-obtain your falcon from anywhere, but also offers several sprites to choose from!
  • 100 SP, 10 seconds cooldown.
• Added 3 new hairstyles for both Male and Female sprites. You need the Hairstyle Notes to unlock them. Check the image below to see what they look like.
• Added more seasonal sprites for main town NPCs, which are now automatically adjusted instead of only after maintenance.
• Reworked @partybuff code to not refresh the entire party window when not absolutely necessary. This should hopefully resolve some stuttering issues.
• Updated some Gepard code that would cause issues with players being logged in longer than 12 hours.
• Robotic Eye Swarm now has [L] and [M] variants.
• Zombie Mask Costume now only goes into the Middle slot.
• Hopefully fixed limited sale items in the Talon Shop sometimes still showing in the store even after expiring.
