Client crash after patch with igc32.dll error

“My client crashes the moment the Gepard Shield loading screen finishes. The crashlog mentions igc32.dll errors.”

We have been receiving an increasing amount of reports about players who updated their Windows and/or Intel Graphics drivers and suddenly started crashing. The crashlog (located in your Talon Tales folder) would mention igc32.dll several times.

This appears to be caused by the Intel Graphics Drivers being updated to version 32.0.101.6078 (or a similar v32 version). If you are experiencing this issue, try one of the following solutions:

  • Roll back the driver to an older version. Hit Windowskey + X > Device Manager > Display Adapters. You should see something similar to “Intel Iris Xe Drivers” or “Intel UHD Graphics”. Right click > Properties > Drivers tab. If it indeed mentions a v32 there and you are experiencing issues, try clicking Roll Back Drivers. This should fix the problem.
  • Use dgVoodoo to launch the game. Instructions on how to install this can be found right here.
